Evan's acting debut

Evan has his acting debut tomorrow evening as he plays Ling in Mulan Jr put on at his school.  His music teacher (Mrs. Baney) puts on a show each spring in which the 4th and 5th graders can perform in.  I was surprised when he said that he wanted to participate and his best friend said 'why would you want to do that?'  But he has spent HOURS at rehearsal and many evenings working on his lines.  He is excited for tomorrow except he isn't to keen on having to wear make-up which he just found out about tonight at dress rehearsal.  He said 'I have to wear eye liner, mascara and LIPSTICK!!'  I am sure he will make a very pretty girl but I will have to wait and see tomorrow.  Dress rehearsal pics, minus make-up.

Seriously Hayden

We are all watching the Butler Marquette game, well except for Evan who could care less and is reading the Mockingjay (3rd book of the hunger games).  During one part of the game Butler couldn't get a rebound and I kept saying 'Dang'.  Hayden then said 'mom quit cursing, there is no need for that kind of language.'  Ok then.

Another thing was I was 'yelling' at the TV and Hayden said 'you know they can't hear you right J'  (Chris calls me J a lot).

Happy 40 to Chris

Chris turned 40 a couple of days ago and was out of town meeting with clients so he didn't get to celebrate on his actual birthday but I had the following sent to him the next day!

Evan's first journal entry

Evan wrote the following journal entry about our trip to Gatlinburg, TN in June 2011.  Found this in my email as I was having to clean it out since I am out of space.

Today was realy boring. Boy did we have a blast      NOT

                              I only liked the arcade we played star wars the arcade game and skee ball another place I liked was the aquariun. we are also going to a minor leage base ball game! I think I will like it! But I dont know about my littel brother Hayden! Its to bad that we forgot our base ball gloves.

 

Grandma Christine was very excited to see us this morning.  Papaw Rick loves to tease us by telling us we will be food for the bears,

At the ballgame it was fun to watch Papaw Rick explain the differences in pitches by the pitcher to Evan.  It was a very exciting game and a

fun time for the whole family.   We were all tired from a long day.

Today was...     Awsome!!! We went to Dollywood! We did every thing

that was open!!! But when I went on a ride called the barn stormer and boy did I get nauseus and about 20 minutes later MY HEAD HURT so I had to go home.

Happy 40th to Me.

My coworkers are OUTSTANDING.  I came in the morning of my 40th birthday to my office decorated and a 'buffet' of food.

Chris and I recently returned from a 4 day Bahama's cruise celebrating my 40th birthday and his upcoming 40th birthday.  We love to cruise as it is a time that he can completely disconnect from everything, no email, no text, no phone calls (unless your port of call has free wifi - thanks Nassau!).

I got a beautiful set of diamond and white gold earrings and the picture just does not do them justice.  Chris said isn't the cruise enough for your birthday and I said 'No, I want to think about it every time I put these earrings in'.  And by the way you have not bought be a piece of jewerly since my engagement ring, I am due :)

My favorite quote from Chris during the trip was 'a bucket of beer is a motivation assassin'.
